About Me

So! I used to be a snowboard coach. Before that, I built snowparks, and I’d also started judging snowboard contests all over the world. And somewhere in between, I studied environmental systems science.

Thanks to the athletes I’ve had the privilege of coaching, I’ve been lucky enough to win every major title there is. From the Junior World Championships to the “real” World Championships, from the large and small Crystal Globes for the overall World Cup to X-Games gold medals, and, to top it all off, even the first Olympic gold medal in women’s Big Air in 2018.

Spending well over 100 days in the snow and not even 100 days a year at home, however, took its toll—namely, a severe burnout. In 2019, I left the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) to lick my wounds. The COVID-19 pandemic prompted a complete change of direction. I became a 3D-content-producer for an IT company in Graz to finance my High School teacher education in English and Geography.

But after two years of studying, it became clear: that wasn’t it either. So I started over and began working in sales- and account management for a service provider to ski resort companies. Now I had one foot back in the snowboarding business. I was selling snow parks, fun slopes, and funcrosses to interested clients and then taking full responsibility for their ongoing support.

However, after I stopped coaching, I had already started working at ORF as a TV expert at snowboard and freeski broadcasts. And this field fascinated me more and more. I also began hosting my first live events, so I wanted to dive deeper in this area.

And so it all started over again. Back to life as a commentator, and back to the snowboarding event business as well. But this time, not as a coach, but as an event director and technical delegate.
